When you register as a contractor, we collect details such as your name/company name, contractor type, date of birth, blood group, mobile number, email, address, Aadhaar and PAN numbers, GST and trade license details (for companies), emergency contact information, and verification documents such as your Aadhaar and MSME/trade licence copies. We also collect activity data such as login times, job postings, worker attendance records, payments, and messages exchanged on the platform.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to create and verify your account, connect you with suitable workers, process attendance and payments, communicate important updates, resolve disputes, and improve the safety and quality of the platform. Identity documents are used solely for verification purposes.

4. Insurance Coverage & Deactivation Policy

Eligible workers and contractors on WorkerConnect may be covered under the platform's work-related insurance benefit. This insurance coverage is directly linked to your activity status on the platform. If a worker or contractor remains inactive — meaning no login, check-in, or other platform activity — for a continuous period of 10 (ten) days, their insurance coverage will be automatically deactivated. Coverage can be reactivated once you resume regular activity on the platform, subject to the applicable terms of the insurance provider. We strongly encourage all workers and contractors to log in and check in regularly to keep their insurance protection active and uninterrupted.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We share your information only with workers you interact with for job purposes, our payment and verification partners, and government or law-enforcement authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted storage and restricted access, to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal and document data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward as required for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting our support team through the app. You may also withdraw consent, though this may limit your ability to use certain features of the platform.

By registering on WorkerConnect as a contractor, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, along with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not register on or use the platform.

2. Role of the Platform

WorkerConnect acts solely as an intermediary platform that connects contractors with workers for daily-wage and contract-based work. We are not a party to, and are not responsible for, the actual employment relationship, work performed, or any agreement made between a contractor and a worker.

3. Eligibility & Registration

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration, including identity, business, and verification documents. You are responsible for keeping your account details and documents up to date, and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

4. Contractor Responsibilities

As a contractor, you are responsible for posting accurate job details, fairly evaluating and selecting workers, ensuring safe and lawful working conditions, and making timely and correct payments for work completed. You must comply with all applicable labour laws in relation to workers engaged through the platform.

5. Attendance, Check-in & Payments

Attendance, check-in codes, and payment records generated through the platform are used to track work completion and process payments. You agree to record attendance and process worker payments accurately and in good faith, and understand that discrepancies may be reviewed by our support team.

7. Prohibited Conduct

8. Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to workers, other contractors, or the platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

WorkerConnect is not liable for disputes, losses, injuries, or damages arising from the working relationship between contractors and workers. The platform is provided on an "as is" basis, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use of WorkerConnect after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
